The spirits of Christmases past and future might be overshadowed by the spirit of Christmas present in downtown Lockport, according to merchants who are opening their stores late every Thursday night before Dec. 25. The Christmas Spirits event includes carol singers, special deals and refreshments in many stores. There is one last chance to take part in the program, from 3 to 9 p.m. Dec. 20.
